Cub Scout Overnight Camping

Cub Scout overnight camping is scheduled by individual Packs, usually as a "family campout".

For a Pack to have an overnight campout, at least one of the registered Adult Leaders must be BALOO-trained. BALOO is "Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation", which is a training session that teaches the planning, skills, and safety precautions necessary to run an overnight camping event for a Pack. BALOO is usually taught once each spring in Five Trails District. See training information on this website and/or the Five Trails District calendar for the BALOO schedule. Consideration may be given for teaching BALOO in the fall IF there is enough demand. Make your needs/desires known at the monthly Cub Scout Roundtable at 7:00 pm on the second Monday of each month at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church.
